Each piece starts as a sheet of metal, silver wire & gemstones. It is then drawn out, hand sawn, stamped, soldered, filed, sanded, etched, and polished creating each unique piece. All gemstones are sourced from small reliable lapidaries around the US. Select stones are rock-hounded and cut locally in Idaho.

OUR STORY
Catherine Strack is the artist behind Sage & Pine Silversmith, established in 2020. Catherine’s inspiration comes from the breathtaking views of the mountains she grew up in, her western up-bringing, and her love for hunting and foraging. She resides in Eagle, ID and handcrafts her pieces in her home studio. Creating jewelry has been her passion since a young age. She started as a young girl beading, graduated to macrame, and then became a self-taught silversmith. Between her love for minerals, rustic life, and allergy to cheap metal she wanted to create durable jewels made out of only high- quality materials. With YouTube and a lot of trial and error she taught herself how to silversmith. The rest is history! Sage & Pine is a one-woman show down to the design ideas, production, marketing and shipping. Every piece is handmade with grit and love to last generation after generation.
